The National Farming Union for Scotland (NFUS) has reported on Friday (April 15) that only 19 percent of eligible farmers have received financial support following the Scottish Government’s ‘emergency payments scheme’ launch.
This means more than 80 per cent have yet to receive any payment through the emergency National Basic Payment Support Scheme as the result of failures in the IT system for the scheme.
A further 5 per cent of payments are expected to be processed this week.
