Oban man Andrew Finlayson, who had been reported missing on Monday, September 17 2012, has turned up in the town safe and well.
Oban police confirmed that he had been traced around 2pm on Wednesday, September 19 2012.
Fifty-four-year-old Mr Finlayson of Columba Court, Dunollie, had not been seen since 10.30am on the Monday and there had been grave concerns for his welfare, including an appeal for him to ‘come home’ by his partner Morven MacAuley.
Police officers, along with coastguard, mountain rescue, a helicopter and a dog search team all helped in the search for Mr Finlayson.
Shortly before 3.30pm a relative posted on The Oban Times facebook page that he was fine and had ‘just walked into the hospital’.
Inspector Julie McLeish, of Oban’s Strathclyde Police, thanked everyone involved in the search for their assistance.
