Constables Kenneth Samuel and Vicky McEwen,along with horses,14-year-old Mearns and five-year-old Strathclyde,travelled to Oban and Mull for a three-day visit joining local officers on patrols across the mainland town and island community.
The officers visited to Achnalarig Stables in Oban,where a group of children spent just under an hour with the officers and their horses,getting involved in a question-and-answer session and watching the horses go through their paces as officers demonstrated some of techniques they would use to control crowds.
After stabling overnight on the mainland the team took the ferry over to Mull making a trip along Tobermory’s Main Street before visiting children from all over the island who had gathered at Tobermory School.
