Loch Awe safety markers put in place


A NUMBER of shallow islets, rocks and sand shoals on Loch Awe will be marked by buoys by the end of this year’s fishing season at the latest.
Loch Awe Safety Company, set up following the deaths of four anglers last March at night in thick fog on the loch, is buying around 40 buoys at a cost of £3,000 to mark the danger spots and line two safe channels in popular areas of the loch at Ardanaiseig and Ford.
