AN EXCLUSIVE performance of the song Caledonia by Skerryvore will be among the highlights at this year’s Oban Hogmanay party.
The Tiree boys, who will release their version of the song to download at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Day, are part of a musical line-up that includes headliners Red Hot Chilli Pipers, ’80s rock band The Works, Oban Homecoming Gaelic Choir and Oban High School Pipe Band.
The party will once again be held in Tesco Car Park, Oban, and will start at 9pm. The fully licensed event will have a food area, where visitors can try some delicacies from the area, and a small fun fair.
Event director Neil MacKay said: ‘We are looking forward to welcoming people from across Argyll, Scotland and even the world.
‘Bring a smile for Argyll, dress for the weather and have a fantastic time.
