DINERS and tourists enjoying the sunshine and spectacular views at The Loch Fyne Oyster Bar at Cairndow got a surprise brush with royalty at the weekend, when King Abdullah Hussein of Jordan and his large entourage arrived early on Saturday evening on Harley Davidson’s motorcycles complete with police and ambulance escort.

His Majesty enjoyed coffee and homemade fruit loaf before hitting the farmer’s shop at the Oyster Bar and purchasing over £300 of Loch Fyne’s award-winning smoked salmon.Touring the West Coast of Scotland from Loch Lomond up to Loch Fyne is one of the most popular routes in Scotland for motorbike enthusiasts. The Loch Fyne Oyster Bar has been a popular stop-off point for tourists and travellers visiting the area over the last 30 years.
