Bomb scare as 'live' mine washes up on Colonsay

A bomb disposal unit from the Royal Navy was called out to the Isle of Colonsay yesterday after a mine believed to be from World War II was washed up at Kiloran Bay. A local resident walking their dog along the beach late on Monday afternoon discovered the mine and immediately reported the find to the island's Special Constable Donald MacLeod.
