In between the competitive Gaelic singing, there are moments at a Royal National Mod when there is spontaneous singing –while waiting for adjudicators to finish their comments and marking at the Royal National Mod in Dunoon 2012,the choirs at the Sheriff McMaster Campbell Memorial Trophy gave an impromptu concert;Còisir Òg an Rubha from Lewis celebrated their win with a wee bit of South Korean rap;and of course there is always the massed choirs on the Saturday morning, with various choir conductors taking a turn at leading the singing.
For five pages of Mod coverage from the second half of Mod week in Dunoon see The Oban Times,October 25 2012,also available on line from the same date at www.obantimes.co.uk/digital
