OBAN Police will be issuing fixed penalty notices to drivers in the town who cause an obstruction when parking their cars,as of next week.
The four-week Think Before You Park initiative,run in conjunction with Oban Fire Station,ends this week and firefighters have leafleted 83 cars that were causing obstructions.
The initiative followed concerns from Oban Fire Station that its appliances were unable to negotiate certain roads because of inconsiderate parking.
Particular areas of concern highlighted during the initiative have been Gallanach,Mossfield and Dalintart.
