Police in Fort William say they are on the streets every night detering youngsters from drinking illegally.
‘It’s a daily,nightly,weekly thing for us,’ says Inspector Donald Campbell. ‘We’re out every weekend trying to deter youngsters.’
Concerns had been raised following a notice posted by the Nevis Centre warning that police and parents would be contacted if any under-age drinkers were caught in the vicinity.
