Ben Pollock braved the Sound of Kerrera without a wetsuit
IT MAY have been a frosty morning, but that didn’t deter several brave souls from swimming from Kerrera to Oban Sailing Club on Saturday September 22 2012.The event was arranged to help raise funds for Atlantis Leisure’s Youth Work in Sport initiative, with the cash raised to be used for events throughout the year.
The biggest cheer of the day went to Yvonne MacHugh, who had only learned to swim in April. Keeping in the spirit of last-minute decisions, she had only decided to take part in the event the night before – when out at the pub.
