POLICE are warning motorists that a 300-tonne abnormal load will be leaving Beauly for Fort Augustus at midnight on Saturday,September 22 2012.The load,expected to arrive around 9am on Sunday,September 23, will go along the A862 (Beauly) to the A833 Coulnakirk Road,where there will be a full road closure.
The vehicle will continue on the A831 to Drumnadrochit before joining the A82 to Fort Augustus where there will be another road closure for the northbound lane. Delays can be expected for those travelling on the southbound lane.
Northern Constabulary officers will be escorting the very slow-moving load as a safety precaution and to minimise inevitable traffic disruption.
