CONCERNS are mounting for an Oban man who has been missing since Monday morning.
Andrew Finlayson,54,lives in Columba Court with his partner but has not been seen since 10.30am on Monday, now police are appealing for help in tracing him.
Andrew is described as white, approximately 5ft 4 in height, medium build, with short grey hair, blue eyes and clean shaven.
He was wearing blue denim jeans,a green army jumper, boots and a light blue waterproof jacket when he was last seen.
Andrew’s partner,Morven MacAuley is appealing for him to get in touch:‘Please Andrew come home,we can sort through anything. I love you, just come home,’ she said.
Chief inspector Brian Auld is appealing to Andrew or to anyone who has information as to his whereabouts to contact police:‘We know he has not been in contact with his partner or friends, and nobody has been able to contact him,I am therefore concerned for his well-being.
‘There are some personal issues that he has been dealing with recently, which may have relevance to him not being in touch with his family. I would ask Andrew to give police or his family a call just to let us know he is well.’
Officers launched a search along with other organisations including the coastguard and mountain rescue. It has also involved a helicopter and dog team.
Anyone with information as to Andrew’s whereabouts can contact Oban Police Office on 01631 510500.
