THE BODY found this morning in the Crinan Canal is that of a 60-year-old man from Lochgilphead,Strathclyde Police has confirmed.
The man,who has not been named,was discovered in the canal at around 11.15am by boaters on the canal,near Ardrishaig.
Police,fire crews and an ambulance attended the scene and retrieved the man’s body.
A post mortem to establish the exact cause of the man’s death will be carried out but police say there appears to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
