Michael Bossard,Oban
Oban was awash with triathletes during the weekend of September 8-9 2012 for the Craggy Island Triathlon. But there were plenty of local competitors giving the visiting athletes a run for their money.
The event on Kerrera took place twice over two days to accommodate the number of entries, while trying to maintain the friendly atmosphere.
Fastest time clocked was by international athlete Ritchie Nicholls, while Oban’s own Leigh Murray won the women’s super veteran class and Michael Bossard, also Oban, came in second on the Sunday,a minute faster than Saturday’s winner.
