FOUR players from the first ever Oban Lorne rugby team and well-known speakers were the special guests at a dinner and dance to mark the golden anniversary of the club.
The event at the Argyllshire Gathering on Saturday,September 1 2012,was attended by around 250 guests,who had played for or assisted the club throughout its 50-year history.
Among them was a quartet of former players who played in the club’s first year:Guido Faccenda,Joe Black,Ian Weir and Dr Ronnie Frew.
