A pedestrian has been fatally injured after being struck by a car on the A85 in the early hours of Saturday morning,August 25 2012.
Strathclyde Police say the male was hit by a Vauxhall Vectra at around 4.50am on the A85 near Pennyfuir and died at the scene. Inquiries are continuing into his identity.
The 54-year-old male driver of the car was uninjured but was treated for shock.
The road was closed for six hours as police carried out extensive investigations at the scene of the incident.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen a man on the road at that time in the morning or who witnessed the incident to contact PC Ronnie Stevenson of the Divisional Road Policing Unit at Oban on 01631 510500.
