A number of ground investigation works are planned to take place on the A82 at various locations and times and dates starting from Monday August 20 2012.
Scotland TranServ says the works are necessary prior to the strengthening of retaining walls at the Wellington Layby and the Altrua Wall and the installation of a new culvert at Clifton.
‘Every effort will be made to minimise the impact on road users. For the safety of the public and the workforce a single lane closure with traffic lights will be in operation on all three sites,’ said a spokesman for the organisation.
A82 Wellington Layby:Situated approximately 7.5 miles south of Inverness the work starts on Monday August 20,for 10 days¸ Monday to Friday only,8am to 6pm. Safe access to the layby will continue to be available throughout the duration of the works.
A82 Altrua Wall: Situated approximately two miles north of Spean Bridge,work will be carried out over 3 days,Wednesday to Friday,August 22-24 8am to 6pm.
A82 Clifton:Located approximately 200 metres north of Tyndrum the work starts on Monday August 20,for five days,Monday to Friday,8am to 6pm.
