AN ISLAND community is so desperate to secure the services of resident doctor;even the distillery has offered a spirited reward to the person who finds one.

The islanders have now launched a major recruitment drive through social media and news outlets, aimed at selling the island to prospective applicants.
And island businesses have also put their weight behind the campaign, with Jura Distillery offering a premium bottle of whisky as a finder’s fee for the person who locates the perfect candidate.
