The Oban Business Improvement District (BID4Oban) business plan has been given the backing of Argyll and Bute Council.
BID4Oban proposes to deliver a five-year action plan developed in consultation with the local community,local businesses and partner organisations.
Council Leader Roddy McCuish said:‘The council is delighted to support BID4Oban. Well done to our town traders and businesses for putting their views forward to develop the BID business plan,which is a first for Oban and indeed for Argyll and Bute. I know it has been a long process – every credit to the steering group for sticking with it.’
The move takes the town a step closer to £840,000 of investment over the next five years.
