
A claymore similar to this was stolen from Duart Castle,Mull
AN APPEAL has gone out by a clan chief for the return of a historic item stolen from his castle on Mull.
Sir Lachlan Maclean of Duart Castle had a claymore stolen between June 3 and 4 2012. The one-metre long black sword was noticed missing during a security check of the castle.
Sir Lachlan,the 28th chief of the clan Maclean told The Oban Times:‘All of us at Duart are very saddened by the recent theft of the claymore from the castle’s banqueting hall. ‘
