COLL crofter,Colin Kennedy,is to stand for election to the board of the Crofters Commission after becoming disillusioned with its management.
The 52-year-old native of the island says the eight crofters have been treated ‘appallingly’ by the commission,accusing the organisation of applying the legislation differently in one part of the country to another.
If elected,the life-long crofter says he will strive to ensure Scotland’s crofting reform act will be applied evenly across the board.
