HIGHLAND Council agreed to freeze Council Tax for a fifth successive year at a meeting in Inverness today,February 9 2012.
Tax for the year from April 5 2012 will be £775.33 for Band A;B –£904.56;C –£1,033.78;D –£1,163;E –£1,421.44; F –£1,679.89; G –£1,938.33 and H –£2,326.
Councillors also confirmed a revenue budget of £602 million for 2012-13,including £232,870,000 for education,culture and sport and £130,556,000 for health and social care.
The Council also agreed to contribute £39,457,000 to police services and £14,787,000 to fire and rescue services.
