Schools lead the way in Gaelic film awards

WEST HIGHLANDS and isles locals are in the running to win awards in MG ALBA’s national online Gaelic short film competition,FilmG.

Among those short-listed for next month’s awards ceremony in Glasgow is Islay High School’s  ‘Eilean an Uisge-Beatha’,which has been nominated for best production and best film in the 12-17 category.

Also nominated for best production is Ardnamurchan High School’s entry ‘Bogwarts’,while Portree High School,Lionacleit School on Benbecula,and Back School and the Niciolson Institute from Lewis are up for the Gaelic award.
