YET another of Oban’s historic buildings could be facing the demolition ball – if plans to have its protected status removed go ahead.
The former Rockfield Primary School building,opened in 1894,is the latest building to have the axe hanging over it after the Argyll Hotel,on the Esplanade,was demolished over the New Year.
Argyll and Bute Council has confirmed it is planning talks with Historic Scotland about removing the former school’s Grade B Listed status.
