At about 11.00am on Saturday January 14 2012 police at Fort William were informed that a 57-year old male had fallen approximately 60 metres on Ben Nevis.
Lochaber Mountain Rescue team and RAF search and rescue helicopter rescue 137 attended.
The man was found and taken to the Belford Hospital for medical assessment but because of his injuries he was taken to the Southern General hospital in Glasgow for further treatment.
His details are not being released at this time.
