Oban’s week-long Winter Festival comes to an end today with a fireworks finale from the Northern Lighthouse pier.
The display at 8pm is courtesy of Pyro1 to make up for the 50-second display on November 4,which should have lasted 20 minutes but saw £6,000 of fireworks going up in under a minute.
It is understood that to night’s free display will last five minutes.
Other events happening today,Sunday November 27,2011,include the Children’s Christmas Market,2pm to 4pm at the Corran Halls with primary children singing Christmas songs,the Santa’s dash at 3pm,and family lantern parade from the Corran Halls to the distillery,where there will be a food court and music.
