A PUBLIC consultation on planned closures on the A82 through Onich have been given a general thumbs up by locals.
Around 60 residents and business people, mostly from South Lochaber, attended the all-day event in the Onich Hotel last Thursday.
Concerns centred on local access and free passage for emergency vehicles being maintained whenever possible.
Representatives from Transport Scotland and their contractors Scotland Transerv were on hand to answer questions, with the aid of location diagrams and maps.
TS originally wanted to shut the lifeline route for three weeks from October 3,Sunday night to Friday morning,7pm to 6am.
